Habit #3 - Put First Things First



During the period of potentially wonderful, albeit potentially stressful time, it is important to attend to the things of value in our lives:
  • Significant people
  • Quality time
  • Health
  • Sound finances

Along the line of self-care, pay attention to things that keep us resilient:
  • Insight
  • Independence
  • Relationships
  • Initiative
  • Creativity
  • Humor
  • Morality

Activity:  
  1. Take a rock
  2. Pretend it's one of the big rocks
  3. Give it a name (family time; reading time; kind acts)
  4. Put it in your pocket to remind yourself to attend to this
  5. Take another if you like, and another . . .
